Terms of Hire

Period of Hire

1) The period of hire commences when a representative from Oscar's Mobile Bar (hereinafter called "the Company") makes contact with the hirer or arepresentative thereof on the day of hire.
2) The period of hire shall continue until the departure of all equipment and representatives from the company have vacated the premises from where the hiretook place.
3) The provision of alcohol will only be allowed by the company throughout the period of hire during the agreed times of service. If a Temporary Event Notice (TEN) is required for the period of hire the hours of service will clearly be stated here.

Contract

1) A contract shall exist between the company and the hirer only when the company has received your Booking Fee, and if applicable a 25% non refundable deposit of any agreed pre paid drinks / staffing / anything else. The company will provide confirmation receipt of any payments to the hirer.
2) By making payment for a booking you have agreed to our Terms and Conditions. 

Hirers Responsibilities

1) The company requires 2x 13amp sockets to be accessible (within 3m) throughout the period of hire.
2) A minimum of space of 16' x 8' is required by the company to set up the bar. 
3) Full address details of the premises where the event is to be held should be given no less than one month prior to the period of hire alongside any other detailsrequired to request a TEN.
4) There must be sufficient vehicular access for a large van or van and trailer at the premises
5) There must be sufficient access to and from the bar and trailer to collect stock when necessary or a back space is made available for additional stock.
6) The company will be the ONLY provider of drinks throughout the hire period unless already agreed. Breaking of this term will result in £200 charge.
7) Guests of the hirer must NOT bring any of their own drinks. Breaking of this term will result in a £200 charge and/or the bar closing.
8) Minimum (cash bar) or Maximum (free bar) numbers of guests as outline in booking form must be met. Excessive differences may result in a charge of £15 per person under or over outlined amount. 
9) The hirer is responsible for the loss or damage of any equipment on hire from the company and shall pay the full replacement or repair price if required.Glassreplacement will be charged at £2.00 per glass.
10) From the moment the bar is set up until the bar is opened it is the sole responsibility of the hirer that no damage happens to the bar or its equipment, nodrinks or glassware are to be taken from the bar and that no rubbish is left on the bar. Any damages and/or replacement will be charged to the hirer at the full rate.
11) Payment of any outstanding balance for any pre agreed drinks shall be made to the company no less than 4 weeks prior to the hire period.
12) Behaviour and conduct of any persons at the event are the responsibility of the hirer. The company will not tolerate aggressive or abusive behaviour and reserve the right to refuse service at any time.
13) Minimum spend on the bar is £1000. We require a deposit of £300 which is fully refunded if the bar takings are £1000. If the bar takings are below £1000 then the difference will be refunded or invoiced.
14) We are only responsible for our rubbish from the bar, bottles, glassware which we will be taken off site. However In the instance that we dismantle the barstraight after the event then we will clear away as much of our rubbish as possible, there may be the few bottles or glassware left on site that we may have missed due to the location or light. We will not remove any food waste so please have adequate bins for your guests as our bar bins are for our recycling ONLY.

The Companies Responsibilities

1) The company will, when necessary obtain the correct Temporary Event Notice (TEN) for the event and be in possession of the certificate throughout the hireperiod.
2) All drinks, equipment and staff will be provided as agreed to the hirer at the time of hire.
3) Receipts will be provided to the hirer for any payments made to the company.
4) The provision of alcohol is subject to the Licensing Act 2003, and all relevant restrictions will be enforced and upheld.

Cancellation Terms (no payments will be refunded with any cancellation)

1) If written cancellation is received within 72 hours of booking there is no cancellation fee.
2) If written cancellation is received after 72 hours of booking but before 90 days of event date - £100 cancellation fee
3) If written cancellation is received within 90 days but before 30 days of the event date - £200 cancellation fee
4) If written cancellation is received less than 30 days prior to the event date - £500 cancellation fee or the outstanding balance (if any) of any agreed pre paid drinks (whichever is the greatest).
